About Grand Bahama's Office
BAIC’s Freeport office oversees all initiatives undertaken by the Corporation on the island of Grand Bahama.
The Corporation has granted a long lease of approximately 828acres of land to Equinox Oil Transshipment Terminal in South Riding Point, which is its single largest lessee and one of its major revenue generators.
During 2010, BAIC in conjunction with the Grand Bahama Port Authority constructed and opened the Freeport Craft Training and Marketing Centre which facilitates the training of locals in the art of straw, shell and coconut craft and assists with marketing and distribution of the handiwork.
